Computer assisted surgery (CAS) is a surgical concept, which uses computer technology for planning of surgery. With the help of computer navigation surgeon guides his surgery to the desired parameter. By adapting CAS, surgeon can easily assess the risk and difficulties of the surgery. According to Miehlke, who is an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at St. Josef-Stift in Sendenhorst, Germany has said  “Some of the most recent developments include the possibility to not only navigate cup orientation in the hip, but also to combine that with stem navigation,”
